There are several ways in which you can repair scratches and other damage on resin floors:
- Light damage. Have small scratches developed in the resin floor over time? Rest assured; these can often be remedied without major interventions. Light wear spots can often be made invisible with a thorough scrubbing. A white pad polishing machine is advised for this. Always engage a recognized cleaning company to carry out these activities;
- Deep damage. Accidents happen. When moving a piece of furniture or dropping a heavy and pointed object, deeper scratches can occur. These are unfortunately not easy to polish away. The application of a new top layer then offers a solution in most cases. After the floor has been cleaned and sanded, a new coating is applied with which the floor looks like new again;
- In some cases, cracks in a resin floor can occur, for example as a result of an incorrectly executed heating protocol when starting up underfloor heating. Because these damages have also penetrated into the sublayers, replacing only the top layer will not suffice and the floor will have to be cast again.
