An extension of the interior architect
Chris Burghard of ÈMCÉ-interior architectures realized a new corporate interior for Brand New Day in Amsterdam, fully in line with the work ethic the online pension bank identifies with so strongly. With wall and floor solutions from TREU interior specials, the open offices, entrance hall, and canteen were given the desired look and feel.
Total solution
For the workstations and meeting islands, grey bouclé carpet tiles (‘landscape’ type) with clean lines were chosen, combined with large rounded areas of black deep-pile carpet. The meeting islands break up the sightlines in the open office, making the spaces feel less vast and more homely. The deep-pile carpet not only provides an inviting atmosphere but also improves the room acoustics.
At the entrance, visitors are welcomed by a blue printed wallpaper featuring a gold bar being pulled across a grater. The pension bank uses this logo in its branding to emphasize its role as a disruptor. The polyester wallpaper provided for this was an interesting choice for several reasons. The client was looking for a seamless wallpaper that could be printed across the entire width and height of the floor. The ‘Eindeloos’ wallpaper used was created in one piece without seams, ensuring the visual is showcased to its full potential.
Finally, a custom-colored resin floor with a concrete effect was provided in the canteen. Its ease of use and excellent wear resistance were the deciding factors in choosing an Artificial type resin floor. This artisanal resin floor is ideally suited for spaces subject to heavy foot traffic – making it perfect for canteens.
