Our Ambacht and Artificial resin floors are both versatile in use. The floors share wear-resistant properties, a long lifespan, high quality, and a seamless character. Application possibilities
Ambacht and Artificial floors differ in material use, which results in a different floor structure. This translates into different application methods and possibilities:
- Ambacht is a cement-bound floor, where the mixture is troweled directly onto the subfloor. With Artificial, gravity does its work; the resin floor is self-leveling and automatically forms itself level and square to the wall;
- Because Ambacht is spread, it can also be applied to the wall. This gives the possibility to apply unique accents that create (even) more unity in the interior.
Aesthetic finishes
The different application methods also form the basis for diverse aesthetic properties and finishing possibilities:
- Ambacht has a variegated, stony appearance comparable to concrete look floors. Artificial looks sleek (with the elasticity and comfort of vinyl floors; more on which later);
- With Ambacht, the stroke direction of the troweling determines its authentic look. With different stroke movements, unique accents are created in which the hand of the applicator is reflected in a traditional way;
- Artificial can be applied in a single color or with two color tones. In the latter case, two colors are merged before pouring, but not fully mixed. The heterogeneous color mixture that results from this is poured onto the screed and expresses itself on the floor in fluid lines and color accents that together form a unique whole.
Ease of use
In terms of ease of use, the floors are very similar. Both floors are easy to clean with a pH-neutral cleaning agent. Also, Ambacht and Artificial are both very suitable for underfloor heating. In what way do the floors differ then? The hardness of the floors defines the difference in damping capacity:
- The cement-bound Ambacht floors offer the same experience in terms of walking comfort as tiles. Artificial floors are composed of the softer polyurethane and are therefore more elastic and crack-bridging. That same elasticity gives Artificial a somewhat higher contact sound reduction.
