International project designer VOS Project has realized a series of projects in the hotel and leisure sector in recent years, including holiday parks for Roompot and Center Parcs. TREU interior specials provided the flooring solutions for these projects. Rolf Koelman, commercial director at VOS Project, reflects on the collaboration during these projects.
Project design based on classic upholstery
VOS Project originated from an upholstery company. “A large part of the upholstery in our projects is made in-house; think of curtains, decorative cushions, bed runners, sofa cushions, and poufs. In short, everything made of fabric in a holiday home or hotel room,” Rolf shares enthusiastically. Today, VOS Project goes a step further and realizes total projects from start to finish. Rolf: “With a unique combination of creative design, flexibility, and reliable partners, we create the perfect atmosphere that seamlessly aligns with the customer’s wishes. No detail is overlooked; everything is arranged to perfection.”
This vision and dedication translate clearly into VOS Project’s projects. “We don’t just consider the design, but also place great value on functionality and safety,” Rolf emphasizes. “For example, we prefer polyester because of the flame-retardant properties of the yarns. Unlike the usual process of spraying afterwards, our yarns are inherently fire-resistant, which offers extra security.” The emphasis on fire safety is particularly important in sectors such as hotels and holiday parks. “By using these materials, we contribute to a safe stay for guests. It is also important that we can provide certificates to hotels and holiday parks to prove that the fire safety is in order,” Rolf adds.
The right materials
When furnishing holiday homes, VOS Project focuses on creating a homely feel. “It’s all about choosing the right materials and fabrics that have a sleek and professional appearance, but at the same time radiate a homely feeling,” Rolf emphasizes. “To achieve this, we make frequent use of carpets and rugs, for which TREU interior specials is our regular supplier.”
Long-term collaboration is central to VOS Project. Rolf: “We maintain long-term partnerships with customers. For the furnishing of holiday parks, we are able to supply products up to 7 years after the original delivery. We go further than a simple transaction; we are a partner.” This is also the reason why VOS Project enjoys working with TREU interior specials. “Marc is not only responsible for the flooring solutions of our projects, but also visits us to show collections and inform us about materials and the latest trends. Marc is also our technical point of contact, with extensive knowledge in this field. When I have technical questions, I contact TREU interior specials,” Rolf adds. Rolf looks toward the future with promise. “I have known Marc for quite some time, about 5 to 6 years. We have been working together as partners for various projects for 2 years now. I sincerely hope that we can continue this pleasant collaboration.”
