[Featuring: Studio Annika] “Creating spaces where people feel welcome”

With a strong focus on hospitality, Studio Annika creates welcoming interiors that align with the unique personality of private individuals and corporate branding. For several of her commercial projects, she collaborates with TREU interior specials to bring office interiors to life. In a candid interview, Annika Vermey, interior designer and owner of Studio Annika, looks back and ahead at this collaboration.

The story behind every interior

The design philosophy of Studio Annika revolves around translating a company’s identity into an interior that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. She views a commercial interior as an essential part of the marketing strategy. Annika: “In the commercial market, I approach it from the brand experience. In other words: ensuring the interior fits the brand, the company culture, and the target audience they want to reach.”

Annika begins every project with an in-depth conversation and analysis to understand not just the requirements, but also the company’s vision and values. This enables her to create a design that not only looks good but also tells a story. “It’s about making people feel welcome and valued in the space. Ensuring it fits the overall branding and experience of the company,” Annika emphasizes.

A high-value partnership

When asked which project stands out most to her, Annika speaks enthusiastically about the renovation of an office space for a consultancy firm in Amersfoort. “This project was special because it was my first major commercial commission,” she explains. “Together, we created a plan for an interior that fits who they are and their way of working.”

Annika developed the interior plan, while TREU provided the flooring solutions and window decorations. “Based on the interior concept, we selected the colors and materials, ultimately choosing comfortable PVC floors that perfectly match the rest of the interior in terms of look and feel,” she adds. The client was particularly pleased with the result: a warm, professional atmosphere that perfectly reflects the company’s identity.

The collaboration with Marc Treu is going well, Annika notes. “He is someone I can recommend to my clients without hesitation. His knowledge of materials and their pros and cons is invaluable.”

It’s all about experience

Annika sees many opportunities for both businesses and the hospitality sector to approach interiors from a branding perspective. “My goal is to help companies by creating interiors that fit their story and identity and truly provide an experience. This way, they attract the ideal client, guest, or employee.”

“It’s great that I can turn to TREU interior specials for a wide range of floor and wall solutions, such as printed carpet.” She believes that the combination of her design concepts and TREU’s high-quality products contributes to the overall user experience. “I look forward to the future projects I will realize together with TREU interior specials,” she concludes.
